Recladding work at IBIS Building to start

Preparation works for the recladding of the IBIS building at 295 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley are starting with site sheds to be delivered on Thursday, 30 January.

The left lane of Kingsway, from the roundabout at the exit of the Council car park/Southdown Avenue to Springvale Road, will be temporarily closed from 9am until noon for the site shed delivery to the front of the IBIS building (the hotel side).

Traffic management will be in place during this time.

The works to remove the cladding on the IBIS building and replace with non-combustible cladding are expected to take around six months. These works will start in mid-February.

An order to undertake these works was issued by Council as part of the statewide Victorian Cladding Taskforce program. The works are being undertaken by Three Construct.

There will be no loss of car parking and the building will still be accessible during the works.
