Recognising our early childhood educators

Minister for Education Dan Tehan has paid tribute to Australia's early childhood educators on Early Learning Matters Week.

"COVID-19 has made us appreciate more than ever the important contribution that our early childhood educators and providers make to the lives of our children and Australian families," Mr Tehan said.

"During Early Learning Matters Week, we owe a special thank you to our early childhood educators and teachers who have provided continuity of education and care to our children.

"I understand this recent period has caused uncertainty and anxiety, but early childhood educators should be proud of the way they have risen to the challenge and continued to make a real difference in the lives of our children and their families.

"I encourage parents, families and communities across Australia to recognise their early childhood educators this week."
