Councillors voted this week to formally issue letters under seal congratulating Mr Wilson and acknowledging Ms Daniel's contribution.
Bayside Mayor, Cr Hanna El Mouallem congratulated Mr Wilson on his election.
"I look forward to working with Mr Wilson as our community's representative in the Australian Parliament.
"I hope to work together to advocate for improvements to infrastructure, programs and policy for Bayside that Council cannot deliver alone," Cr El Mouallem said.
Cr El Mouallem also thanked the former Member for Goldstein, Zoe Daniel for her valuable support of the Bayside community over the last three years.
Bayside's advocacy priorities are based on long term aspirations articulated in the Bayside 2050 Community Vision and will be updated to reflect the newly adopted Council Plan 2025-2029. These strategic plans are informed by strong community engagement and feedback on what kind of Bayside we want in the future.
