Recycled Compost Helping To Green Our Communities

waverley-gardens

Rebecca and Linda are active and passionate members of our thriving Waverley Community Gardens.

They recently welcomed Mayor, Cr Paul Klisaris to the gardens, who helped deliver around 50 bags of recycled compost.

Waverley Community Gardens is one of many parks, gardens and reserves across Monash to benefit from the use of Council's recycled compost.

Recycled compost not only helps to improve soil nutrient quality, drainage and temperature, it builds a healthy environment for microbes to thrive.

The use of recycled compost is only made possible thanks to positive recycling habits of our residents.

By simply ensuring only food scraps and garden clippings are placed into our green bins, we can all help to build more circular practices and a more sustainable Monash.
