REIWA assists Salvos to knock on digital doors for Red Shield Appeal

For the second year in a row, The Salvation Army has launchedaDigitalDoorknockfor its annual Red Shield Appealto help raise funds forthose most vulnerable in our society.

From unemployment to domestic violence,homelessness, andnowfinancial difficulties encounteredthrough theCOVID-19 pandemic,the Salvos work never stops.They are forever helping the many West Australians experiencing various forms of hardship.

REIWA membershave been supportingthe Salvoswiththeir missionsince2013via the Insitutes CommunityREInvestprogram, which aims tohelp the Salvos provide services to those who need it most, particularly those experiencinghomelessness.

A new-look Red Shield Appeal

Prior to 2020, REIWAran aSleeping Bag Appealthroughout May and Junein support of the Red Shield Appeal,bringingcomfort to the homeless on WA streets by collecting warm sleeping bags and blankets.

Due to thepandemic, the Salvosare now approaching the Red Shield Appeal a little differentlythey'vetakentheirdoorknockingonlineand REIWA is here to help!
