Replica pistol, cash and drugs found after vehicle stop; man charged, NSW

A man will appear in court today after a replica firearm, ammunition, cash and drugs were allegedly located during a vehicle stop in Sydney’s west early this morning, NSW Police say.

Just before 1am (Friday 21 December 2018), officers from Campbelltown City Police Area Command were patrolling when they stopped a Honda Civic in Harold Street, Macquarie Fields.

Police searched the vehicle and allegedly located a replica pistol, ammunition, cash, and drugs believed to be ‘ice’ and heroin.

The driver, a 31-year-old man, was arrested and taken to Campbelltown Police Station.

He was charged with deal with property proceeds of crime, goods in personal custody suspected being stolen, possess unauthorised pistol, possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority, possess prohibited drug, and supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity).

The man was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court today (Friday 21 December 2018).
