Crime Stoppers NSW and NSW Police are at the Griffith Show on 5th October 2025 to connect with the community and talk all things crime prevention and reporting.

Whether its crimes like trespassing and illegal hunting, theft, physical assault or online crimes, such as child abuse or unwanted contact, cyberbullying and scams, Crime Stoppers and NSW Police are urging the community to report what they know.

Crime Stoppers provides a simple gateway for the community to report this information and ensure the information is shared with police.

"We often see people are willing to share information online, such as through online community groups, so neighbours and the local community are aware of what's happening in their neighbourhood," said CEO, Crime Stoppers NSW Peter Price AM.

"And while that information can help be aware of suspicious activity, sharing that information with Crime Stoppers ensures it's passed on to police so the appropriate action can be taken.

"Our website makes it easier for the community to report information, in a safe and secure way."

Crime Stoppers and NSW Police have a stand at the Griffith Show and will be giving away free merchandise and information the community can take away with them and use when needed.

Murrumbidgee Police District Chief Inspector John Wadsworth said the community plays a vital role in crime-fighting.

"The community are our eyes and ears and provide vital information that can help solve a crime. Even small details like a suspicious vehicle or unusual activity can lead to recovering stolen property and bringing someone before the courts. Crime Stoppers is that vital link between the community and police and we encourage people to continue to work together to make our communities safer."

It's your community, it's your call. Reporting what you know can make a difference.

There are many different ways the community can report crime in their area including PAL, their local police station, Crime Stoppers and Triple Zero for emergencies.

Report any theft, any time, to PAL on 131 444 - and report suspicious or actual criminal information to Crime Stoppers at https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/ or call 1800 333 000.
