Rescue Ends After Single-Vehicle Crash in Nundle

A rescue operation has concluded following a single-vehicle crash in the state's north east.

About 9.15am today (Wednesday 1 July 2026), emergency services were called to Barry Road, Nundle, following reports a ute had left the road and crashed down a steep embankment.

A multi-agency rescue operation commenced, with resources assisting from NSW Rural Fire Service, NSW Ambulance, State Emergency Service, Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service and police from Oxley Police District.

A 17-year-old girl was removed from the vehicle and winched out by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter before being airlifted to Royal North Shore Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Police have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
