Wagga Wagga Art Gallery will host artist Rhae Kendrigan, the recipient of the 2025 Regional Artist Development (RAD) x Earth Canvas Artist in Residence, at the E3 Artspace from Monday 15 September to Sunday 28 September 2025.
Each year an artist is chosen to take part in the partnership residency between Wagga Wagga Art Gallery and Earth Canvas – an organisation linking artists with regenerative farmers in southern NSW.
Rhae Kendrigan is a socially and environmentally engaged artist whose practice is grounded in a deep connection to landscape via the methodology of Bodyweather training: a performance practice that develops a conscious relationship to the state of change inside and outside the body.
Drawing on Bodyweather training, Rhae's residency deepens a connection to land and investigates how movement can reflect and support sustainable landscapes.

Wagga Wagga Art Gallery Director Dr Lee-Anne Hall said during the residency the artist is spending two weeks on a regenerative farm followed by two weeks in the Gallery's E3 Artspace.
"Rhae has spent two weeks immersing themself in the landscape at Bibbaringa Regenerative Farm, which is located between Albury and Holbrook," Dr Hall said.
"From Monday 15 September, Rhae will then come to the Wagga Wagga Art Gallery for two weeks where they will work from the E3 Artspace where visitors can come and meet them and learn about their experience on the farm."
Rhae Kendrigan will be facilitating an on-farm workshop at Bibbaringa Regenerative Farm on Sunday, 21 September 2025, 11am – 4:30pm.
Participants will spend the day going through a series of gentle activities on the property to deepen connection to nature, including walking and movement, meditation, quiet observation, listening and responding to nature, and exploration of different habitats within the property
The workshop is $35 per person, with afternoon tea provided. Participants are required to bring their own lunch.
