"Rice of World" Harmony Week Event Postponed

Lithgow Council

Lithgow City Council today announced that the planned "Rice of the World" event to be held on March 21 will be postponed due to forecast heavy rain.

This multicultural community lunch event had been organised as part of Harmony Week celebrations – a celebration to promote community participation, to celebrate multiculturalism and to encourage participation through the gathering of people from different cultural backgrounds.

This decision to postpone was made to protect the health of our community, to whom we would like to express gratitude for their understanding, patience, and continued support.

The date of the new event is yet to be confirmed.

Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.
