Rider Dies After Crash At Lake Macquarie

A motorbike rider has died following a crash this afternoon at Balmoral, about 4km south of Toronto, in Lake Macquarie.

About 12.55pm (Wednesday 10 December 2025), emergency services were called to Clydebank Road following reports of a crash.

At the scene, officers were told that a motorbike and utility collided at the intersection of Kooringal Close.

NSW Ambulance paramedics rendered assistance to the rider; however, he was unable to be revived.

While yet to be formally identified, the rider is believed to be aged in his 20s.

The driver of the utility – a 55-year-old man – was not injured. He was taken to the John Hunter Hospital for mandatory testing.

A crime scene was established, and inquiries are underway by Lake Macquarie Police District assisted by the Crash Investigation Unit.
