Rider injured in crash at Wagga Wagga

An investigation is underway following a crash that left a motorcyclist injured in the state's Riverina region yesterday.

About 9pm (Tuesday 8 March), emergency services were called to Kooringal Road, Kooringal, following reports a vehicle and motorcycle had collided at the intersection of Fay Avenue.

The impact threw the 23-year-old male rider onto the roadway. He was treated at the scene for a broken leg and taken to Wagga Wagga Base Hospital, where he remains.

The driver of the sedan – a man aged 70 – was not physically injured and was subject to mandatory testing.

Officers attached to Riverina Police District have commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
