Rifle stolen in Frankston

Detectives from Frankston Crime Investigation Unit are appealing for public assistance after a rifle was stolen from a gun store in Frankston.

Investigators have been told a man rode a bike to the store on Playne Street about 12pm on Saturday 9 February.

Once inside the premises the man made his way to a cabinet and removed a longarm Remington .308 rifle.

The man then exited the store and was last seen riding his bike towards the railway station.

Police have released images and CCTV of a man that they believe may be able to assist with their enquires.
