Mildura Mayor Cr Ali Cupper said the New Year's Eve community event was one of the region's most popular and successful annual events.
"Thousands of people turn out for this free community event every year, and 2025 I'm sure will be no exception," Cr Cupper said.
"Our annual New Year's Eve celebrations offer the perfect combination of live entertainment for all ages and tastes, all in a safe, friendly, drug and alcohol-free environment, which is why I think it's been so popular for so long.
"I can't wait to celebrate what's been a busy and fulfilling 2025 with our community, while welcoming in what I'm sure will be an even more successful 2026."
Mildura Entertainment owner David Storer encouraged the community to take advantage of the free program.
"We've got a great line-up of entertainment for all ages, with everything from carnival games and pony rides for the kids through to live music for the adults," Mr Storer said.
"Headlining the night is local rockers Velvet Army, while the kids will be kept entertained by Diggy The Dog and his Aussie Animal Friends.
"Little Glitter Shack and Glow Products will also be in attendance, with the night to be capped off with two amazing fireworks displays at 9.30pm and midnight."
In addition to live entertainment, food, coffee and dessert trucks and other festivities, the nearby Mildura Water Play Park will open on the night until 10pm, offering plenty of opportunities for the community to cool off throughout the night.
With fireworks planned for the night, pet owners are also being encouraged to pay attention to signs their animal friends may be feeling stressed on the night.
Below are some tips to ensure your pets are safe and secure as our community brings in the New Year:
- Leave your pets at home
- Provide pets with a safe, quiet and secure area within the house
- Pay attention to when the fireworks start
- Make sure pets are wearing collars and ID tags
