Risk Informed Policymaking For State Of Palestine

Policymakers today face complex and unpredictable crises, particularly in contexts affected by occupation and compounded by violence, climate shocks, and development challenges.

ESCWA, in collaboration with Palestinian planning officials, organized a second training workshop on risk-informed policymaking from 6 to 8 January in Amman, targeting a new group of Palestinian civil servants, building on an earlier workshop implemented in February 2024.

The workshop aimed to strengthen participants' capacity in designing future-oriented, adaptable policies, enhance their understanding of complex and evolving challenges, identify drivers of vulnerability, and promote long-term, cross-sectoral, prevention-based approaches to mitigate shocks and advance development despite severe constraints.
