Due to a crash involving several trucks, Great Northern Highway is closed in both directions about 30km north of Newman.
Police and other emergency responders are at the scene.
While crews at the scene are working towards making it possible for light vehicles to pass through the area, heavy trucks may be impacted for up to 24 hours (as at 12:20pm Saturday 9 July 2022).
Anyone needing to use Great Northern Highway in the vicinity of the north side of Newman this weekend is urged to check for road closure updates on the Main Roads website - https://travelmap.mainroads.wa.gov.au/
