A scene examination is ongoing after a man was shot by Police on State Highway 1 near Invercargill today.
State Highway 1 between Kerr Road and SH 98 will remain closed until about midday tomorrow while the examination is completed.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area if possible, and take alternate routes.
