Road rehabilitation works will begin on Gloucester Tops Road near Bindera Road, Berrico from Tuesday 29 September, weather permitting.
The works will improve the condition and reliability of this section of Gloucester Tops Road and are expected to be completed by mid-December.
For the majority of the project, this section of Gloucester Tops Road will remain open under traffic control, with the road reduced to one lane. Motorists are asked to allow additional travel time and follow traffic control directions.
Some temporary road closures will be required to complete the works safely. Weather and contractor availability permitting, Gloucester Tops Road will be closed at Bindera Road between 8:30am and 3pm on the following days:
- Thursday 29 October – motorists will be detoured via Rawdon Vale Road, Scone Road and Thunderbolts Way, adding approximately one hour to travel times.
- Friday 30 October, Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 November – motorists will be detoured via Bindera Road, Westleys Road, Barrington West Road and Faulkland Road, adding approximately 10 minutes to travel times.
Any changes to planned road closures will be communicated through roadside message boards and Council's social media channels.
Works are expected to be completed by mid-December, weather permitting.
