Robbery and drug charges in Sunset, QLD

Police have charged three people following investigations into an alleged armed robbery at a residence in Sunset this morning, Queensland Police say.

At 2am a male, accompanied by three others, allegedly forced entry through a gate into an address on Jacobsen Street.

It will be alleged two male residents attempted to stop the man, however, he proceeded to attempt to stab the men multiple times.

It will be further alleged the man then kicked in a front door and assaulted a 32-year-old female resident with a knife.

The man allegedly stole multiple items from the address before leaving the premises.

A man and a woman sustained minor injuries.

A 25-year-old Cloncurry man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count of enter dwelling with intent.

A 26-year-old Winston man has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count each of enter dwelling with intent and possess drug utensils.

A 48-year-old Pioneer woman has been charged with two counts of armed robbery and one count each of enter dwelling with intent and possess dangerous drugs.

The trio are to appear in the Mount Isa Magistrates Court on April 11.
