Robbery and unlawful use of a motor vehicle, Eagleby

A man has been arrested after an alleged robbery in a carpark at Eagleby last night.

Around 8pm a stolen Toyota Kluger sedan was allegedly tracked by Polair travelling from Woodridge to Eagleby.

It will be alleged the man in the stolen sedan, stopped in the car park on Brigade Drive and approached a parked vehicle and threatened the female driver with a machete and baseball bat demanding her to get out.

The man fled on foot when challenged by a male witness and was located nearby and arrested by police.

The Toyota Kluger sedan was stolen from Rivina Circuit, Coomera sometime between 8am and 9am on January 25.

The female driver and male witness were not injured.

The 26-year-old Logan Village man was arrested and charged with three counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, armed robbery and another 11 related charges to appear before the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on January 28.
