Three young people are being held to account in relation to a spate of recent offending in the King Country, including the aggravated robbery of a Te Kūiti mini mart.
Earlier today, several warrants were executed in Te Kūiti, and a number of evidential items were recovered, including stolen goods.
Three young people, aged between 13 and 15, were located, and youth proceedings have commenced. Charges include aggravated robbery, burglary and theft.
Area Commander Waikato Western, Inspector Andrew Mortimore, says meticulous and methodical investigation work has gone into producing this result.
"I know our community has been feeling unsettled by these recent incidents, particularly the aggravated robbery - and we hope this action sends a clear message that violence won't be tolerated.
"My thanks go to the local staff who have worked tirelessly to hold these offenders to account.
"I'd also like to thank the community for their patience and support while we have carried out our enquiries, along with those who shared valuable information."
Enquiries are ongoing, and Police cannot rule out further charges.
