Robbery with violence at Parkinson, QLD

Detectives investigating after a man and woman were threatened with a knife and their car stolen at Parkinson home this afternoon have released CCTV images of a man they believe can assist their inquiries, Queensland Police say.

Around 5.15pm a man jumped the back fence of an Albert Place residence before entering and confronting the occupants inside.

The man then armed himself with a knife before threatening the pair and demanding keys to a Toyota Corolla which he then fled in.

No one was injured during the incident.

The vehicle was located dumped an hour later in the carpark of a Browns Plains Road shopping centre at Browns Plains.

Initial investigations indicate the man was picked up by a yellow vehicle also believed to have been stolen and last seen travelling into Grand Plaza Drive.

As part of investigations to identify the man any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident are asked to contact police.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who may have seen anything suspicious around the Browns Plains area to also come forward.

The man is described as Caucasian, fair complexion, approximately 180cm tall, slim build, wearing black shirt, black Adidas shorts with white stripes, white running shoes and a distinctive tattoo on one arm with the numbers 69.
