Robbery With Violence, Harlaxton

Police have charged two people following an alleged robbery at Harlaxton on 14 June.

It will be alleged that around 10.10pm a woman attended a residence at Gregory Street of a 44-year-old male resident who was known to her.

Police will allege the woman stole a set of keys before fleeing the property while the 44-year-old man was distracted by a second woman knocking at the front door.

When the resident pursued the woman onto the front lawn, it is alleged he was confronted by a man armed with a replica handgun, resulting in a physical altercation.

A short time later a black SUV arrived at the address, and the three alleged offenders left the scene in the vehicle.

A 44-year-old Harlaxton man was transported to Toowoomba Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Following investigations by detectives from the Toowoomba Criminal Investigation Branch a man and woman were located at separate Toowoomba addresses on 16 June where they were taken into custody.

A 50-year-old Rockville man has been charged with one count of robbery.

A 31-year-old Harlaxton woman has been charged with one count each of robbery and possessing dangerous drugs.

Both are scheduled to appear before the Toowoomba Magistrates Court today 17 June.

Investigations remain ongoing.
