Police are investigating the assault and robbery of a boy at Woodridge yesterday afternoon, 2 March.
Around 3.40pm, a 12-year-old boy was walking along Station Road when he was approached by a male and asked for the time.
The 12-year-old retrieved his iPhone from his backpack, before the male allegedly snatched the phone, assaulted the boy, and fled on foot northbound along Station Road.
The boy sustained minor injuries from the incident and was transported to Logan Hospital for observation.
Investigations indicate that there were a number of witnesses in the area at the time of the robbery.
Detectives from the Logan Child Protection and Investigation Unit (CPIU) are now appealing for those people, anyone who may be able to assist in identifying the male, or anyone with relevant vision, to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
