Rockthrowing incident at Paracombe, South Australia

A family was lucky to escape serious injury after their car was struck by a rock on Gorge Road at Paracombe this evening.

The family of six were travelling along Gorge Road, between Pinkerton Gully Road and Corkscrew Road, at Paracombe just before 6pm on Wednesday 18 September, when a rock shattered the windscreen.

The female driver sustained cuts to her wrist during the incident, which left the whole family shaken and upset. They were treated at the scene by paramedics.

A person in a blue shirt was seen running from the scene.

Police Dog Axe was called in to search the area, but the suspect was not located.

Hills Fleurieu Police are investigating.
