Rocky arrests Mill Park man

Police responded to reports of two men acting suspiciously in Epping last night.

Upon arrival, police members along with the Dog Squad, were unable to locate anyone in Bradman Terrace just before midnight.

Police dog Rocky followed a track towards an unoccupied home and located two men inside.

One of the men, a 38-year-old Mill Park man allegedly struck the police member to the face, causing minor injuries.

His four-legged companion pounced on the man, causing a small laceration to his left leg.

The second man, a 33-year-old Montmorency man, was arrested without incident.

They have both been charged with burglary and assault police and have been bailed to appear at Heidelberg Magistrates' Court on 23 January.
