Embattled Housing Minister Roger Jaensch is attempting to avoid more bad news by hiding information regarding the public housing wait list.
Shadow Minister for Housing Alison Standen said the latest quarterly figures have been released today, but there's data missing.
"In a week when Roger Jaensch has misled the Tasmanian Parliament he's now attempting to mislead the Tasmanian community on just how bad the state's housing crisis is.
"The Human Services dashboard is supposed to be updated quarterly, to provide information on how many Tasmanians are waiting for public housing and how long it's taking the government to put a roof over their heads.
"We know the trend has been that waiting lists are getting longer. But Roger Jaensch is hiding the new quarterly figure.
"It's the only indicator that's not been updated this quarter – no doubt because the numbers will reflect badly on him.
"The hole Roger Jaensch has dug for himself this week just got deeper.
"Premier Peter Gutwein has no choice but to act and remove this dishonest and deceptive minister."
