Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) crews are on scene at a bushfire burning near the Bruce Highway, south of Balgal Beach Road at Rollingstone. Crews are working to contain the fire, which is posing no threat to structures at this time. Nearby areas, including the Bruce Highway, may be affected by a smoke haze. Motorists are advised to drive with caution and to conditions. Residents are advised to close windows and doors, and keep respiratory medication close by. If residents are concerned their property is under threat they are advised to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
