Rose Bowl Comes to Sydney for Women's T20 Series

Australia and New Zealand will battle it out from Sunday when the NRMA Insurance Women's International T20 Series gets underway, with the Rose Bowl trophy set to be introduced for all bilateral white-ball series involving the two countries.

The coveted trophy was founded in 1985 and has traditionally been awarded to the winner of each One-Day International series played between the Trans-Tasman rivals, with Australia holding the silverwear since February 2000.

The Rose Bowl will be up for grabs twice this summer, with the three ODIs between the two sides scheduled for March considered a separate series due to the gap between T20 and ODI fixtures.

If a series includes both T20Is and ODIs, the trophy will be awarded to the team with the most wins across the series. If the series is tied, the trophy will remain with the current holders.

Speaking on the change, Australia captain Sophie Molineux said:

"The Rose Bowl is such a special part of the rivalry between Australia and New Zealand, and having it up for grabs across all bilateral white-ball series adds another level of excitement.

"We know how much this contest means to both sides, and we're looking forward to getting out there and competing for the trophy in front of a home crowd in Sydney."

Molineux will join New Zealand captain Melie Kerr on Friday to launch the NRMA Insurance Women's International T20 Series, bringing a splash of colour fans can enjoy at the upcoming matches Boundary Social, presented by NRMA Insurance.

Following the first successful season of Boundary Social, presented by NRMA Insurance, fans attending the NRMA Insurance Women's International T20 Series can look forward to an elevated match-day experience like never before.

Across all three T20I matches at North Sydney Oval, fans will be able to enjoy a newly-designed premium viewing and hospitality experience on the Doug Walters Stand Hill.

The space will feature a tiered deck built into the hillside, complete with premium lounge and bar seating, and opportunities for fans to get up close to the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Trophy at various times throughout the series.

The experience will also include a dedicated on-field boundary zone, building on the success of previous seasons and giving NRMA Insurance customers exclusive access to watch the action from boundary-side deck chairs and bean bags. With fans right on the edge of the field, the zone will provide a unique vantage point to soak up the atmosphere and excitement of the T20I series.

NRMA Insurance Chief Customer and Marketing Officer Emily Roberts said:

"As official partner of the Australian Women's International T20 Series, we're proud to help champion the growth of the women's competition and support the women's team.

"For fans watching the action in-stadium, we're delighted to be offering a range of enhanced match-day activations, elevating the thrill and spectacle of the live, on-ground experience."
