Ross Lane Temporary Closure: Ballina Shire

Ross Lane closure image.pdf.png

Motorists are advised that Ross Lane will be closed to all traffic from 6am Monday 19 October until Friday 18 December 2026 as part of the Ross Lane Flood Resilience Project.

The traffic changes are required to allow for critical bridge construction activities. These works will be between Newrybar Swamp Road and Newrybar Drain. See map.

During the temporary road closure, motorists will need to use designated detour routes and should allow extra travel time for their journeys.

The project will improve the reliability and flood resilience of this important transport route, which connects Lennox Head, Ballina, Tintenbar, Alstonville, Wollongbar and Lismore.
