Round 1 of Small Grants funding applications are now open

Our Small Grants Program gives not-for-profit community organisations and groups the financial support they need to kick-start projects and activities that benefit our community.

Funding up to $3,000 is available for new and one-off projects, programs and activities that strengthen our community.

You can apply for grants in 6 funding streams:

  1. Active Community - sports and recreation
  2. Life-long Community - opportunities for over-55s
  3. Creative Community - arts and culture
  4. Healthy Community - health, safety and wellbeing
  5. Sustainable Community - environmental sustainability
  6. Vibrant Retail Precincts

Last year, 24 community organisations were successful and shared in over $41,000 in grants across 2 rounds of Small Grants funding.

Notably, Compassionate Friends of Victoria used the grant to purchase a video camera to train and upskill volunteers and extend access to bereavement support to members of the community.

St Paul's Anglican Kindergarten used the grant to purchase an important defibrillator package for adults and children.

If you need help creating an application with a high chance of success, join our Grant Writing Help Session for community groups and organisations.

When: Tuesday 7 March, from 6 pm to 7:30 pm.

Where: Boroondara Room, Council Chambers, 8 Inglesby Road, Camberwell.

Sessions will be held in person and online.
