On Wednesday 15 October 2025, the Roxy Community Theatre will host the inaugural FUSE Cup esports Riverina Championships.
The FUSE Cup is an international school esports competition that provides young students with an opportunity to participate in safe, inclusive, supportive and structured school-based esports activities. Esports, or electronic sports, are organised video game competitions where individuals or teams compete in a structured environment much like traditional sports tournaments. Through The FUSE Cup, students are encouraged to enjoy these competitions while also developing positive gaming behaviours and digital wellbeing.
The winner will represent the Riverina at the State and National Championships on 14 & 15 November 2025 on the Gold Coast. The Roxy Community Theatre thanks local businesses JBS and Fred Cole Betta who are both sponsoring this event.
Manager Roxy Theatre, Emma Di Muzio, said, "This is an incredible opportunity for schools across the region to enter their best esports competitors, elevate their school's recognition, and have their own Riverina Champion compete at State and National level!"
Already, a few schools have registered and are honing their skills in preparation for the big event! But it is not too late to register! The Roxy is calling all Riverina Schools to ensure they have their teams registered BEFORE the Spring/September school holidays when applications close on 26 September. Registrations can be completed via this online form.
