RELEASE 15 May 2018 Sydney: Royal Rehab, leading provider of rehabilitation and disability services in NSW, has today announced the appointment of Matthew Mackay as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective 1st July 2018.
Mr Mackay has been promoted from the position of Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Royal Rehab and will take over from Stephen Lowndes, who held the role of CEO for the past ten years.
Announcing the appointment, Royal Rehab Chairman, Tony Staveley, said, "Matthew is a highly capable and focused leader who brings with him a wealth of experience from the public and private sectors. He has a proven track record of achieving results through collaboration and strong corporate governance practices. As we draw near 120 years of providing client centred outcomes, this is an exciting time for Royal Rehab. Having someone of Matthew’s calibre and strategic vision to help lead our business is a positive step for the future."

Mr Mackay has held senior management positions in public, private and military health facilities and hospitals in his 20-year career.
Prior to joining Royal Rehab, Mr Mackay held the role of COO at Pulse Health Limited. He is a Captain in the Australian Army and served in multiple operational deployments in command positions in Afghanistan and Timor.
