RPS continues Australian expansion through acquisition of specialist infrastructure advisers Corview

Global professional services firm RPS Group plc, a company listed on the London Stock Exchange, today announced the acquisition of Australian advisory business Corview as it continues its expansion into the Asia-Pacific region.

The A$32M deal will add a 45-strong team of strategic, commercial advisory and management consulting specialists to RPS' growing Asia-Pacific business.

RPS believes combining expertise from both organisations will add new depth to its existing advisory capability while significantly boosting the infrastructure offering it brings to the market.

Emerging as a leading adviser for Australian infrastructure initiatives in recent years, RPS consultants are engaged on high profile projects including Western Sydney Airport, Brisbane's Cross River Rail and Melbourne's Metro Tunnel.

"Australian cities are facing major challenges when it comes to the development of transport, water, health, education and other types of infrastructure," said RPS Chief Executive for Australia Asia Pacific, Ross Thompson.

"Bringing people from RPS and Corview together will make it easier for clients to connect with the best minds in infrastructure at the earliest project phases. It will also provide a strong platform for us to innovate, collaborate, and ultimately deliver on our promise to address infrastructure complexity."

The Corview acquisition is another marker of significant progress in RPS' strategy to become the leading consulting firm in the industry.

"RPS has pursued growth opportunities that align with client and market needs. In Australia, the need is for innovative, region-shaping infrastructure. We've continually invested in the development of our offering, starting with the acquisition of Manidis Roberts in 2012 and Everything Infrastructure Group in 2015."

RPS' new-look advisory team will offer market-leading expertise in project strategy, economics, transaction and investment advisory, communications, community engagement, creative services, data analytics and more.
