Rush in for your coffee fix today, and win

NT Government

Businesses in the City, Waterfront and Cullen Bay will benefit from increased visitation during this month's morning rush for coffee.

Coffee. It's a must for every morning. So The Morning Rush competition is on, thanks to Activate Darwin.

Activate Darwin is established to do just that. Bring people to the City, invigorate Darwin, the Waterfront and Cullen Bay and provide businesses with opportunities to showcase their wares to attract new customers.

We've seen the success of the unique Darwin Laksa Festival celebration, and now it's coffee's time to shine.

Starting Monday, until 9 June, every time you purchase a coffee from your favourite participating café, you go in the draw to win a year's worth of coffee.

Every coffee is a chance to win - no limits.

The Morning Rush is a celebration of Darwin's vibrant coffee scene.

A list of participating cafes will be available at here.

The community is encouraged to support local coffee spots and nominate their favourite brews for a chance to win, with the winner to be announced from 12 June, 2023.

Quotes attributable to Minister for Business, Jobs and Training, Paul Kirby:

"We've all seen the great success of the Laksa Festival to bring people into businesses to regularly sample Darwin's fantastic Laksas.

"This initiative, thanks to Activate Darwin, will bring more people into coffee shops and cafes during the month of The Morning Rush.

"With a year's supply of coffee on offer just for buying a coffee from a participating store, be sure to try them all during The Morning Rush until 9 June."

Quotes attributable to Boatshed Coffee House and Café Owner, John Bonnin:

"This is a great initiative from Activate Darwin to encourage people to try more of Darwin's coffee offerings over the next month.

"It's a fabulous prize and I'm sure people will be trying lots of coffee to get as many entries in as they can during The Morning Rush.

"It's bound to be competitive amongst the coffee shops too. I know we'll be looking forward to the lucky winner choosing the Boatshed for their year's supply of coffee."
