Campaspe Shire Council has taken the next steps in progressing the development of the Rushworth Place Based Plan by selecting the Place Based Plan committee members.
Campaspe Shire Mayor Rob Amos said there had been a tremendous response to calls for nominations for the committee.
"We received 27 responses from community members expressing interest in being on the Placed Based Plan committee, and from there a committee of nine have been selected.
"The newly appointed committee is made up of a wide cross section of the community, with representatives who are already involved in sporting clubs, arts and culture groups, local businesses, schools and community groups, Cr Amos said.
The selection process takes into account age and gender balance and where possible, representation of Council's Communities of Priority criteria as part of the Council Access and Inclusion Strategy, which covers the demographics of youth, CALD (Culturally and Linguistically Diverse), the aged, people with mental illness and or their carers, socially disadvantaged, women, people living with a disability and the LGBTIQ+ community.
"We want to assure the broader community that there will still be plenty of opportunity to have your say during the development of the plan and that there will be a variety of ways and times to contribute your ideas and thoughts, whether that be online or in person."
The Rushworth Place Based Plan committee is made up of nine members as follows:

- Sarah Pain
- Anne Spittles
"The Rushworth community should be congratulated for their enthusiasm to be involved in the development of their Place Based Plan. The process of developing the plan will ensure that the community aspirations are accomplished," Cr Amos said.
