In partnership with Princes Hill Primary School, we are proposing changes to make it safer and easier for students, parents and staff to actively travel to and from Princes Hill Primary School.
This will create a safer route to the Linear Parklands and surrounding areas, and upgrade the streetscape, including wider footpaths, more greenery and safe places to ride, walk and scoot.
The proposed changes involve:
- closing a small section of Park Street to car traffic on the east side of the intersection with Wilson Street
- replacing 28 on-street car parking spaces with wider footpaths, street greenery and a two-way bike lane on the east side of Wilson Street between Park Street and Pigdon Street
- create a one-way traffic system by converting Solly Avenue to one way for cars (westbound) between Wilson Street and Holton Street West
