We're making improvements at 13 additional locations across Bayside to improve safety and accessibility for our community.
This rolling program of upgrades will deliver new and upgraded accessible parking bays, including line marking, signage, bollards and footpath improvements. In some locations, existing carparking spaces will be reconfigured to support these upgrades.
These works will improve conditions for people with disabilities by bringing older accessible parking spaces up to date with Australian Standards and creating new accessible parking bays in areas where supply is limited.
This program delivers a key action of Bayside's Parking Strategy and is informed by an Accessible Parking Audit and feedback from our Disability Access and Inclusion Advisory Committee. It also builds on other upgrades to around 85 accessible carparking spaces across Bayside during the past two years.
