Police remind people to ensure they are up to speed on firearms safety before they go duck shooting this season.
"We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable game bird shooting season. This means making sure people are vigilant about safety," says Acting Superintendent Mike McIlraith.
"This includes refreshing yourself on the seven rules of firearm safety, and making sure you're familiar with your firearm and have inspected it, especially if it's been in secure storage since last season.
