Sale man arrested for child exploitation offences

Sale Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Teams detectives with the assistance of the Joint Anti-Child Exploitation Team have arrested and charged a Sale man with child exploitation offences.

The arrest of the 21-year-old man was the result of a joint investigation and the execution of a warrant at a Valentine Crescent address earlier this morning.

Investigators will allege the offending took place between May and August, 2021.

The man has been charged with:

• using carriage service to groom person under 16years of age

• use carriage service to solicit child abuse material

• use carriage service to transmit indecent communication to person under 16 years of age

• contravene certain bail conduct conditions

• committ an indictable offence whilst on bail

The man was expected to appear before the Sale Magistrates' Court today.
