Salisbury Man Arrested For Reporting Breach

A man has been arrested after failing to comply with reporting obligations.

Detectives from the Public Protection Branch attended a Salisbury home on Friday 29 May to locate and arrest a man wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Officers located the man at the address and identified that he had allegedly failed to comply with reporting obligations in accordance with the Child Sex Offender Registration Act.

The 43-year-old Salisbury man was arrested on the warrant and charged with failing to comply with reporting obligations, as well as breach of bail and breaching an intervention order. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on Monday 1 June.

Detective Acting Chief Inspector Robert Plenderleith, Officer in Charge Offender Management Section, said the arrest highlights SAPOL's commitment to ensuring offenders meet their reporting obligations and are held accountable when they fail to do so.

"Ensuring the safety of children and vulnerable victims remains a priority for SAPOL, with officers committed to holding offenders accountable and protecting the broader community," he said.
