Young Territorians will have more opportunities than ever to stay active these summer holidays, with the Finocchiaro CLP Government delivering over 1,500 activities across the Northern Territory.
In the Top End, Palmerston will come alive with the Palmerston Youth Centre's Hawaiian night, Christmas party and the PYC Olympics, while Darwin offers ice-skating and Corrugated Iron Youth Arts' Corro-aoke sessions and high-energy sports workshops through Hoops 4 Health and Made Concepts.
In Alice Springs, there will be plenty to dive into, with activities ranging from mountain biking to bowling and free access to the pool, while across the Barkly there are movie mornings, basketball and Tennis clinics and disco nights.
Across remote communities such as Nyirripi, Laramba, Galiwin'ku, Milingimbi and Gapuwiyak, kids and teens can enjoy BMX, golf, cooking, craft and Christmas-themed activities, as well as arts, storytelling and cultural programs.
Katherine's calendar brings a major pool party, horse programs and the Henry Scott Recreation Centre will be open for drop in nights on Thursdays and Fridays during the school holiday period.
East Arnhem communities will host arts, sports and BMX activities.
Minister for Youth Jinson Charls said this is one of the biggest and most exciting holiday programs delivered for Territory kids.
"As part of our year of action, certainty and security there are hundreds of new activities these school holidays alongside the much-loved favourites for all Territorians.
"These programs give young Territorians great opportunities to stay active, try new things, connect with their peers and strengthen their place in the community.
"No matter where you live in the Territory, you'll find a full calendar of activities this summer.
"Check out what's on in your region, plan ahead and get involved," said Mr Charls.
Free pool access will be available at the Alice Springs Aquatic and Leisure Centre, Tennant Creek Pool and Nhulunbuy Aquatic Centre from mid-December to 28 January 2026.
There will be several pool parties at Darwin's Casuarina Pool in January, which includes free entry for young people up to 18 years, free sausage sizzles and pool inflatables.
These holiday programs are backed by more than $2 million in NT Government funding for 2025-26, over 50 organisations will deliver school holiday and after-school programs across the Territory.
