An investigation is underway after a man was seriously injured in a crash between 4WD and motor scooter in Maroubra today.
About 2pm (Friday 8 May 2020), emergency services were called after reports of a car and motor scooter collision at the intersection of Fitzgerald Avenue and Bunnerong Road, Maroubra.
The 29-year-old male scooter rider suffered serious injuries and was taken to St Vincent's Hospital in a serious condition.
The 22-year-old male driver of the Mitsubishi Challenger 4WD has been taken to hospital for mandatory testing
Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is urged to contact Eastern Beaches Police Area Command.
Travel diversions are in place and motorists are advised to avoid the area
