Griffith City Council is pleased to welcome General Manager Scott Grant, who commenced in the role this week.
Mr Grant will lead Council's operations, working closely with Councillors, staff and the community to deliver important projects and services.
He has more than 14 years of leadership experience across Local Government, not-for-profit and the private sector. His background includes roles with Campbelltown City Council, Cricket Australia and Hyundai Motor Company Australia.
Griffith Mayor, Councillor Doug Curran said Mr Grant's appointment was an exciting new chapter for Griffith.
"The General Manager plays a vital role in ensuring Council remains accountable, efficient and focused on delivering for the community," Mayor Curran said.
"Scott brings a wealth of experience, energy and fresh ideas and we're confident his leadership will provide strong direction for the years ahead."
Mr Grant said he looks forward to meeting people across Griffith and learning more about the community.
"I am honoured to take on the role of General Manager at Griffith City Council. My first priority is to get to know the Councillors, staff and wider community to understand what matters most for Griffith," Mr Grant said.
Council also acknowledges the contribution of long-serving and highly respected General Manager Brett Stonestreet, who officially retired on Thursday 21 August 2025.
