Search and rescue operation at Babinda

Police are searching for a 37-year-old man who went missing yesterday afternoon at Babinda Boulders.

Around 8.30pm, police were alerted after a man went swimming in the Babinda Boulders Devils Pool at 6pm and did not resurface.

Police have commenced a search operation with the assistance of Queensland Fire and Emergency swift water rescue, SES and Rescue 510; however, the man has not been located.

The search was suspended just after midnight and will recommence this morning at 6am.
