A search and rescue operation will recommence in Proston this morning for a man reported missing at Boondooma Dam.
An inflatable dinghy was located with its motor still running close to the dam's shoreline at approximately 9.15am yesterday morning..
The owner of the vessel a 74-year-old Sunshine Coast man was last seen on the vessel earlier that morning around 5.45am.
Local police will continue the search and rescue operation this morning, with the assistance of SES, dam personnel and aerial assets.
A broad search of the dam's shoreline is being conducted, with SES also planning a search of the water.
The man was last seen wearing a blue jacket and dark coloured pants.
