Search and rescue, Stafford Heights

Police have launched a search and rescue in relation to a missing 76-year-old man from Stafford Heights.

Shesh Kanta Thapaliya was last seen earlier this morning on Appleby Road and Redwood Street around 8am and was wearing a blue hooded jumper, black trousers and blue shoes.

Police and family are concerned for his welfare as he suffers from a medical condition and may not be aware of his surroundings.

He is described as approximately 175cm tall, light brown complexion, white hair, with brown eyes and a proportionate build.

Police appeal for property owners in the suburbs of Stafford, Stafford Heights, Everton Park and Kedron to check their properties, backyards and sheds.

SES and police search assets will be deployed for the search which will focus on surrounding suburbs.

Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact police urgently.
