A search is underway for a man who was reportedly washed off the beach at Miami this evening.
Police were called to Lifeguard Tower 22 near Marine Parade just after 6pm following reports a wave knocked the man over while he was fishing and could not regain his footing.
Members of the public attempted to reach the man but were unsuccessful as he was dragged out to sea.
A land, sea and air search commenced shortly after to locate the man but have been unsuccessful.
The search for the man will continue at first light tomorrow morning.
