Search concludes at Port Elliot, South Australia

A search of waters at Port Elliot has concluded with no sign of a missing swimmer.

Emergency services were called to the Horseshoe Bay area just after 11.30am on Saturday 29 June after a 70-year-old man from Hackham was reported missing, after he had not been seen since 9.45am Friday 28 June when he is believed to have gone swimming.

Officers from SAPOL's Water Operations Unit along with local police, SES, CFS, Port Elliot and Goolwa Surf Rescue and PolAir carried out a land and sea search over the last 48 hours which concluded today.

Sadly the missing man was not located.

Police will continue to monitor the area to see if any sign of the missing man can be found.
