Search continues for girl reported missing from Mt Wilson

A large scale coordinated search operation continues for a child reported missing in the Blue Mountains.

Officers from Blue Mountains Police Area Command received the report about 8.20am yesterday (Friday 14 January 2022), that a nine-year-old girl had been missing from a property at Mt Wilson, 60km north-west of Richmond, since Thursday (13 January 2022).

Charlise Mutten, aged nine, is described as being of Caucasian appearance, between 130cm and 140cm tall, of thin build, with brown hair and brown eyes.

It is believed she was last seen wearing a pink top with a round neck collar, a black knee-length skirt and pink Nike thongs.

Officers commenced a coordinated multi-agency response which includes local police, Police Rescue, the Dog Unit and PolAir.

Police are assisted by the State Emergency Service (SES), Rural Fire Service (RFS) and NSW Ambulance.

The search continued overnight and is ongoing today, with more than 100 personnel involved in the search.
